Jackson will teach you how to make your own digitally-drawn animation from source materials, while giving a behind the scenes look into the making of their exhibition A Welcoming Place, debuting in 2022 at Women & Their Work.

Workshop Dates

Tuesdays 10:00am – 11:30am on Zoom

6/29 – Working with reference materials

7/6 – Drawing and animating with digital grease pencil

7/13 – Adding color to your scene

The first half-hour of each workshop will be a tutorial, followed by an hour of workshop time for questions and discussion with a little animation history mixed in. Tutorials will be made available before and after the workshops if you are unable to attend live.

Beginner friendly, no previous experience necessary. This workshop is completely free, but donations are welcome if you can contribute. Blender is a free, open-source software that can be downloaded here
