Architecture and Desire Panel

Thu Nov 5, 2009

Join us for a lively discussion about how we create what we desire. Inspired by the iconic modernist Kaufmann House, artist Erin Curtis pays homage to– and questions– the idea of perfection in her exhibition, Perspective Threshold.

Using her show as a point of reference, a panel including Burton Baldridge, Judy Birdsong, Cindy Black, Nicole Blair, Erin Curtis, Camille Urban Jobe, Kasey McCarty & Michelle Rossomando will investigate how architecture both dictates and responds to the way we wish to live in the world.

  • Does contemporary architecture and design embrace or deny our past?
  • Can architecture and design better the way one lives in the world?
