Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble
Fri May 25, 1990 - Sat May 26, 1990
The Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble has performed throughout the country, while its dance school is one of the best local training schools in the Denver area.
At age 15, Cleo Parker Robinson began teaching college-level dance at the University of Colorado. She taught dance at CU through high school and went on to Colorado Women’s College to study under Rita Berger, a former dancer with George Balanchine. Ms. Robinson started her own dance school in her junior year at Colorado Women’s College, and spent her summers studying under Merce Cunningham and Murray Louis, at the schools of Alvin Ailey with Thelma Hill and Pearl Lang, and the Dance Theater of Harlem with Arthur Mitchell.
