Fresh from the Studio

Fresh from the Studio invites W&TW artist members to share what they are working on now with you! In this virtual format, artists will share work in progress, newly finished artworks, and recent or upcoming projects. Each presentation will be about 10 minutes with time for your questions and comments afterwards. Fresh from the Studio is your chance to see what is new and hear from contemporary artists. This bimonthly program is free and open to the public.

This segment of Fresh from the Studio will feature artists Neena Buxani, Molly Valentine Dierks & Caroline Wright. Neena Buxani will discuss the inspiration and process behind her new series of contemporary landscapes as well as her new abstract expressionist pieces. Molly Valentine Dierks will talk about her recent miniature landscape series (made from found and recycled organic and synthetic materials) and other projects that use the formal languages of nature and technology to speculate on evolving landscapes of intimacy and distance. Caroline Wright will share her latest work which results from her return to the studio after giving birth in September. These new paintings pull in themes familiar to Wright’s work—nature, emotion, and dense studies in color—but with a new vibrancy and urgency borne of the shift in identity and time away.
