Guatemala City Dump: Life on the Rim

Dallas artist Misty Keasler presented a suite of her photographs in Guatemala City Dump: Life on the Rim. For this project, she created emotionally charged – and often hauntingly beautiful – photographs of this unexpectedly resilient community. Keasler was awarded the prestigious Lange-Taylor prize from the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University with New Yorker writer Charles D’Ambrosio.
