About the Artists

Exploring cultural identity, the human spirit and socio-political themes, artist Maria Cristina “Cristy” Jadick incorporates photography, video, painting, printmaking and performance in what results in compelling, conceptual, research-based projects.  Incorporating found objects and bricolage into her work, Jadick further connects her viewers to a sense of place.  Her projects range from large, mixed-media, photo-lithographic prints or paintings on paper and canvas to sizable, performative, interactive tableau that integrate photographs and sewn, painted, baked and printed elements.

Erica Reed Lee makes paintings, artist books, and three-dimensional work about the technological present and navigating split realities. Lee’s work tracks the digital world’s growing presence and influence on the individual and our sense of place. Lee has exhibited at venues across the United States including Lawndale Art Center, Houston, TX; Woman Made Gallery, Chicago, IL; LBIF, Long Beach, NJ; Foundry Art Centre, St. Charles, MO; and Big Medium, Austin, TX.

Cristina White-Jones is a mixed media artist from the Texas Hill Country.  In her work, she uses discarded items in order to create intuitive and experimental textures on the surfaces of her canvases.  These textures draw on past pain she has experienced and they reflect challenges that she has overcome in her life. Her current body of work explores the range of emotions that we feel on a daily basis and layers organic elements of color and nature to fully realize each piece.
