Not Afraid of Color

Artist Lindy Chambers embraces color in her work, striving to use a wide-ranging palette. This approach to her paintings is inspired by a view of the world where vibrant color can be perceived everywhere. Join us for this artist-led workshop where we will explore how to boldly use color and then create an original work of art. 

Participants will receive a short introduction on color theory which includes a look at color harmony, symbolism, and context. Lindy Chambers will then guide attendees on painting techniques and illustrate how different combinations of colors can impact the visual and emotional elements of an artwork. Participants will use acrylic paint to create a colorful 10” x 10” painting based on a predesigned composition – a sophisticated paint-by-number!

Women & Their Work will provide all the materials including paintbrushes, acrylic paint and a canvas panel. At the end of the workshop, your artwork will be ready to take home.
