(SOLD OUT) PrintAustin: Water Marbling

Join us for an afternoon of exploring water marbling- an ancient mono-printing process with local artist Mercedez Rex. She will cover a brief history of marbling and demonstrate basic techniques of manipulating pigments on the surface of a water bath. Participants will work in groups of 3, taking turns playing with the medium and printing a design on a mini silk textile to keep.

Mercedez Rex is an artist and creativity advocate. She believes that everyone is creative and that cultivating creativity is a worthwhile pursuit that leads to emotional resilience and a deeper sense of purpose. Her goal in teaching workshops is to encourage others to tap into their own creativity.
