Sharon Bridgforth and Sonja Perryman celebrated their CD release and spoken word celebration of an interdiscplinary work, which articulated the experiences of lesbian mother-straight daughter…urban raised, southern spirited Black American women growing.

Opening performance by The Charles Medearis Group. Spoken word cafe installation by Dr. Joni L. Jones. Text for the project was developed under the direction of interdiscplinary artist Daniel Alexander Jones and was presented as a staged reading in 2000 and 2001.
