The Dream Auction featured 50 outstanding artists from throughout Texas including Jill Bedgood, Ann Chamberlin, Malou Flato, T. Paul Hernandez, Jimmy Jalapeeno, Judy Bally Jensen, Mercedes Wanguemert Pena, Arlene Polite, Julie Speed, James Surls and Susan Whyne.
The Dream Auction opened on Thursday, April 18th with a gala preview and silent auction. The Live Auction was held on Saturday, May 4th, from 6:30 to 10 p.m and featured paintings, sculptures, drawings, mixed media works, and photographs that explored the theme of dreams.
This auction was one of our largest fundraising events ever, and the proceeds helped support the 50 events in visual art, dance, music and theatre that W&TW presented each year. The auction proceeds also helped underwrite the education programs which reached over 3,000 under-served elementary, junior high and high school students and teachers.
