Courtney Brewer

Courtney Brewer, based in Austin, Texas, creates artwork marked by her distinct love of colors. As an abstract/mixed media artist Courtney has also studied interior design, and taken formal art classes at UMHB, studied anthropology at Baylor University, taught zumba dance , and art classes for youth. Courtney’s broad view on culture, heavily influences her artwork. As a native Texan, you can see the southern accent in her use of bold colors, exaggerated lines, and hasty brush strokes.

To her, art is about communication, creating a new language that only the artist and viewer understand”. The message behind her art is about reclaiming the authentic self and finding masterpiece in the uninhibited synchronicities of life, and unspoken language.
