Julie Ahmad is a large-scale abstract artist based in Austin, TX. She dabbles in mixed media including alcohol inks, acrylics, charcoal, and metallic foiling as well as cheeky titles like, “Men-On-Pause” and, “She Finally Came.”
Julie has curated several successful group shows including Women of West: Empowering Women in the Arts and Femme-Easta.
“I attribute my life as an artist to my daughter. When I was pregnant, I felt this strong burning desire to be creative and work with my hands. There was some kind of organic correlation between my body being in the state of creation and my heart urging my hands to do the same,” Ahmad says.
With five+ years of experience as an Art Boss and a passion for mentoring young artists and supporting their career development, Julie also founded a nonprofit called Art Boss, ATX in early 2019.
