Kate Hooray Osmond

Kate Hooray Osmond is an American interdisciplinary artist based in Charleston, SC, whose work explores non-judgement and the impossibility of
experience. She has been named the State Fellow for South Carolina and her work has been twice included in the South Carolina Biennial. She exhibits nationally. Kate’s
work is heavily process based: she travels by helicopter, climbs cranes, and repels from buildings to capture the source images for her work.

Recently, her paintings have been included in the Biennial by the Center for Contemporary Art of South Carolina, the LaGrange Southeast Regional, the Loveland Museum, and as a finalist for the CCA Prize. She is a 2025 Visiting Artist at the Gibbes Museum of Art.

Osmond’s artwork has been featured in Introspective Magazine, Art and Cake LA, Shoutout Atlanta, and ArtMag. Kate Hooray earned her MFA in Studio Art from Maryland Institute College of Art and her BA from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
