

Veronica Jaeger
Based in Mission, TX, Veronica Jaeger is Venezuelan-born artist living in South Texas since the year 2002. Her work has been widely recognized in solo and group exhibitions nationally and abroad, with the inclusion of awards, grants, and publications. Jaeger earned a masters degree in studio painting from the University of Texas-RGV. In 2008 she was awarded with a grant by the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC); in 2009 by the Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation in New York City with the Lenore Segan Award, and was awarded 2nd prize in the Texas National Juried Competition 2014 in Nacogdoches, TX. She has participated locally in the Texas Biennial, and as a finalist in the prestigious Hunting Art Prize during the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 competitions in Houston. She continues working everyday and maintains a studio practice in her home in Mission, TX. She currently teaches as a part-time faculty at the UT-RGV.
