Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Open Call Info Session at Women & Their Work

Join us in the gallery for an information session with Constance Y. White, AUS Art and Music Division Manager, to learn about the many new opportunities now open to Austin artists.

The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is looking for Austin-based artists to bring their creativity to the new Concourse B and Arrivals & Departures Hall—with dedicated spaces for children, a sensory lounge, a mobility lounge, and 18 restroom entries. Up to $2,904,000 is available in funding for 22 contracts ranging from $40,000 to $546,000.⁠

These opportunities are only open to Austin-based artists working in all media—including mosaics, painting, photography, videography, textiles, sculpture, industrial design, digital programming, and lighting design. Artists working in two-dimensional media or site-specific installations are encouraged to apply.

Proposals are not being requested at the time of application and will not be accepted. This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The Open Call to Austin Artists will open February 27, 2025. Link to the call will be provided the day of the session. There will be a 30-day application period.
