Fresh from the Studio invites W&TW artist members to share what they are working on now with you! In this virtual format, artists will share work in progress, newly finished artworks, and recent or upcoming projects. Each presentation will be about 10 minutes with time for your questions and comments afterwards. Fresh from the Studio is your chance to see what is new and hear from contemporary artists. About the Panelists

Originally from South Korea, Bumin Kim received her MFA in Drawing and Painting in 2015 from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas. In 2017 she was awarded at the 30th annual international competition and exhibition, Materials: Hard+Soft. Her work has been shown by various institutions, including: Pulse Art Fair in Miami, FL; Dallas Art Fair in Dallas, TX; Art Aspen in Aspen, CO; and Texas Contemporary Art Fair in Houston, TX. Furthermore, Kim’s work has been featured in publications, such as: New American Paintings, Fresh Paint Magazine, and Glasstire, and can be found in public and private collections throughout the United States and Europe. In 2020, Bumin Kim completed an artist residency at Facebook’s headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Allison Pharmakis is a Photographer, Artist and Psychic Medium. Even though sometimes she is confused by people, her fascination with them has her searching through art, time and time again, to uncover more and more about the ways in which we are united by the human condition.

Petra Reeves is an Austin based artist / educator. Originally born in the city of Arad, Romania, her family immigrated over to the US when she was just over a year old. She has been teaching photography at college level for over 10 years. Professor Reeves studied at Rochester Institute of Technology, in Rochester New York, where she received her MFA in fine art photography. Her work primarily focuses on that of domestic life and the profound impact of motherhood.When she’s not teaching, Petra spends most of her time with her young daughter catching bugs and taking care of their chickens. Playing video games, and nursing plant babies in her greenhouse.
