Women & Their Work Education Coordinator Fellow
Women & Their Work seeks a part time Education Coordinator Fellow. Women & Their Work is a contemporary visual and performing arts organization located in east Austin. For 47 years, Women & Their Work has brought groundbreaking art created by women to Austin with exhibitions, performances and education programs.
Position Description:
- Assist with the planning and implementation of education & select public programs (virtual & in person)
- Research school programs and community partners to help build new audiences
- Schedule and coordinate education programs
- Lead student & adult tours
- Research and develop educational materials and curriculum for education programs
- Help develop interpretive materials of exhibitions which may include developing gallery guides, in-gallery displays and interactive materials for a variety of audiences.
- Support on and off-site activity and perform administrative work related to the gallery and education programs.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work well in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and interest in working with audiences of all ages
- Strong written and visual communications skills
- Well-organized and excellent attention to detail.
- Self-directed and able to work with a small staff and volunteers
Evaluation:
Intern will work with the Program Director to create project timelines and receive training. The Fellow will meet monthly with staff and give updates on progress and discuss any issues or training needs. Staff will review work prior to meetings and provide feedback.
Schedule & Hourly rate:
Internship dates: October – September 2026
Flexible schedule: approximately 15 hours per week. Though hours may fluctuate week-to-week, you are committing to an average of 15 hrs per week = 60 hrs per month. You are expected to adhere to this time commitment for the entire fellowship. $22 per hour paid bi-monthly.
