Mixed-Media Works From Houston
Sat Jul 17, 1982 - Sat Aug 7, 1982

“The Dream Show” featured work by Houston artists that had not been previously exhibited in Austin. The show was organized and curated by Chuck Dugan, Director of the Lawndale Annex and Lecturer in UH’s Art Department. Lawndale has been known regionally for innovative and experimental arts activities. This exhibition contained works by Houston-based artists from various backgrounds and artistic experiences who were associated with Lawndale Annex.

“We are pleased to bring examples of art by Houston artists to show in the Austin community,” said Rita Starpattern, Director of Women & Their Work. “The Texas art scene is large and growing; it is crucial that artists and the public communicate across the state. We are especially pleased to bring a show with such variety and vitality as Lawndale’s Dream Show.” Women & Their Work hosted the Dream Show in an exchange exhibition with Lawndale Annex, which hosted Radiation Risk Reception Area.
